We’ve been made aware of individuals and fake recruitment companies falsely claiming to represent Elius Group Ltd, trading as Leap Digital. These scammers have been contacting people by text message and WhatsApp, using our official company name, registration number, and even our Companies House certificate to appear legitimate. This is a serious case of impersonation, and we want to make it clear that we have no involvement in any cryptocurrency, investment, or “task-based” job schemes.
What’s Happening:
Victims have reported receiving unsolicited messages from people claiming to offer online jobs or investment opportunities “on behalf of Leap Digital” or “Elius Group Ltd.” After initial contact, they’re often asked to complete small “online tasks” to earn commission, set up accounts with Revolut, crypto platforms, or digital wallets, send money to “activate” or “verify” their accounts, or communicate with fake representatives through WhatsApp or Telegram, who later change their phone numbers. These messages are not from us. The scammers are using stolen business documents and cloned branding to trick people.
What We’re Doing About It:
We have reported this impersonation to Action Fraud (the UK’s national fraud reporting centre). We have requested Google and web hosting companies to investigate and remove any fraudulent websites. We have contacted Companies House to place a warning flag against misuse of our registration certificate. We’re publishing this notice to help prevent anyone else from being targeted.
How to Protect Yourself:
If you receive a message or email claiming to be from Elius Group Ltd or Leap Digital, do not respond, do not click any links or transfer money, and do not share your personal or financial information. Take a screenshot of the conversation and phone number. Report it to Action Fraud: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk. Block the sender and delete the conversation.
